Our annual clinical integration program has incorporated well recognized and highly accepted national clinical measures where they are applicable. Where national standards are not available or not applicable, our committees and physician members have identified best practices and developed protocols for care which are tracked within our program. The GSQN’s goal is to continually increase the value of care provided to its patients. In order to meet this goal, we are continuously scanning the healthcare landscape for newly emerging measures of high quality, cost-effective care and adopting measures which our physician members feel can provide the greatest benefit to their patients. A small sample of the sources that we refer to when developing and updating our annual clinical integration program include:

  • The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
  • Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)
  • The Joint Commission (TJC)
  • The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
  • Individual medical and surgical societies
  • Individual physician members and practices
