Through the leadership of our physician led committees, the active input of our physician members, and the support of our administrative staff, the Gulf South Quality Network, L.L.C. (GSQN) has developed a clinical integration program of over 150 measures to guide its value improvement efforts. This comprehensive set of measures actively engages every physician within our network in quality, cost and utilization improvement efforts and addresses the care provided to patients in the inpatient, outpatient, and physician office settings.
Our annual clinical integration program has incorporated well recognized and highly accepted national clinical measures where they are applicable. Where national standards are not available or not applicable, our committees and physician members have identified best practices and developed protocols for care which are tracked within our program. The GSQN’s goal is to continually increase the value of care provided to its patients. In order to meet this goal, we are continuously scanning the healthcare landscape for newly emerging measures of high quality, cost-effective care and adopting measures which our physician members feel can provide the greatest benefit to their patients.
